Free Admission for Kids to SF Zoo in January

January 24th, 2010 · No Comments · Activities, Babies, Frugality, Kids, Parks/Playgrounds, Toddlers

I know Aletheia expressed her preference for the Oakland Zoo in her previous blog post, but I still prefer the San Francisco Zoo.  Sure, I’ve never actually visited the Oakland Zoo, but I fail to see how that’s relevant.  And besides, the penguin habitat at the SF Zoo has always been my favorite exhibit.  Penguins!  Who doesn’t love penguins?

And if you want to take your kid to see penguins, he/she can get into the SF Zoo for free in January.  Each kid (age 4-14) gets free admission into the zoo with one paid adult’s admission and if he/she brings in a hand-colored picture of a favorite animal.  Or, you can download a coloring sheet of a penguin from the SF Zoo’s website here.

For more information about the SF Zoo, including their hours, regular admission fees, exhibits, etc., see their website here.
